2014-Singapore-GP-029Jenson Button remains adamant that he’ll still be racing for McLaren next season despite question marks over the team’s driver lineup.

Button and team-mate Kevin Magnussen’s futures have been made uncertain by their team’s openness to shake up their driver pairing for next year ahead of a switch to Honda power. With Ron Dennis seeking for the “best drivers available” in the driver market.

Fernando Alonso and reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel have been names recently linked with the Woking-based team with their futures at their respective teams known to be in a similar state to the current McLaren drivers.

Although Button, who retired from the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend when running in sixth, feels secure about remaining with the team he’s spent the best part of four seasons with.

“I’m not worried in any way about that,” Button told British news agency Press Association.
“I’m pretty happy I’ll be here next year, and I feel I’m doing a good job right now. I just have to sort Saturdays out a bit more. I’ve been a bit unlucky and not got the best out of it every weekend, which annoys me more than anything else, but I’ll get there.”
