Verstappen joins top sim-racing team

Toro Rosso protege Max Verstappen will enter the word of virtual racing after joining top simracing squad Team Redline.

Team Redline, which was founded 15 years ago, is the world’s best known simracing team and its lineup includes simracing legend Greger Huttu.

Redline said Verstappen will join the team to “practise and remain at the top of his game.”

“I enjoy simracing outside of Formula 1,” said Verstappen, who earlier this week shared a photo of his simracing setup on Instagram.

“Ive been working with Atze [Kerkhof] for a while already and of course with Team Redline and Fanatec I’ll be sharing the virtual track with the fastest simracers in the world which is a great test and the way I like it!”
