Montreal to close out 2016/17 Formula E season

Among many things revealed by the World Motorsport Council (WMSC) earlier day, a revised Formula E calendar for the 2016/17 season was revealed earlier today.

Notable changes include the removal of two TBC dates that were on the calendar, reducing the season to 12 races in 10 cities. Whilst the New York City races and the Montreal races have been swapped around, making the Canadian doubleheader the 2016/17 season finale.

The New York City rounds now clash with the FIA World Endurance Championship’s six hours of Nurburgring instead of the Montreal rounds, making that weekend still intriguing for both series as six current Formula E drivers compete in endurance racing, so it will be interesting to see where each of those drivers will be on that weekend of the season.
