Force India launches the new VJM10

Force India is the latest team to have launched their new 2017 car ahead of the new season.

The VJM10 was launched close to the team’s base at the Silverstone Circuit in an event which was streamed live on Sky Sports’ digital platforms.

Force India has opted for a similar livery consisting of silver, grey and orange.

Sergio Perez remains with the team for a fourth straight season while Esteban Ocon makes the move from Manor after impressing in his short spell with the team.

Force India enjoyed its strongest season to date, finishing ahead of Williams for fourth in the constructors’ championship. With a resurgent McLaren and Renault, it will be difficult for them to maintain that position behind Formula 1’s big three in 2017.

They have already announced their plans for pre-season testing which gets underway on Monday, February 27. Perez will debut the VJM10 before handing over to Ocon. Development driver Alfonso Celis Jr. has been handed day three while Perez and Ocon will share the final day of the first week of the test.
