IndyCar’s universal aero kit makes road course appearance

On Tuesday, IndyCar test drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Oriol Servia took the 2018 universal aero kits through its road course paces at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Montoya tested in a Chevrolet-powered machine, while Servia took hold of a Honda-powered car.

The aero kits are made by IndyCar chassis manufacturer, Dallara. The Italian-based company has partnered with the IndyCar Series since 1996 when it was still the Indy Racing League.

Both drivers praised the challenge, speed, and the look of the to-be aero kits, replacing the manufacturer-specific ones on current 2017 cars.
