Pasini tops time sheets after Friday practice

Mattia Pasini ended Friday practice on top at Aragon, keeping up consistent run of pace.

The Italian beat out fellow countryman Franco Morbidelli to top the timesheets. Morbidelli is looking bounce back, after a disappointing misano weekend.

This is an important weekend for the championship, with Alex Marquez still recovering from his crash at Misano, the championship realistically is now between Franco Morbidelli and Tom Luthi.

Takaaki Nakagami ended up third, with Sandro Cortese fourth. Simone Corsi was fifth, with Miguel Oliveria finishing in sixth place.

Jorge Navarro put in a decent performance, ending the day in seventh. Championship contender Tom Luthi ended up in eighth place, with Xavi Vierge in ninth place.

Fabio Quartararo was tenth, with Marcel Schrotter eleventh and Dominique Aegerter finishing twelfth.

The Moto2 riders will return tomorrow for the final free practice session and qualifying. This is before the race on Sunday. Qualifying will get underway at 14:05.
